I know more cheap owners, than landlords....

With that said, yeah... there are alot of cheap landlords avoiding any additional cost. But that's just the world overall, everyone is greedy in some way or form

My favourite quote was from my old neighbor:
"Why should I pay a premium today / increased strata fees, if I don't even know I'm going to be living here in 5 to 10 years. Expenses should be paid when they come up"
At this point I was almost speechless, and in the same time, I was hoping we would get a special assessment approved very soon, just to hear her complain the she needs to pay x-xxK for the repairs needed.

JDMDreams 10-05-2022 03:45 PM

Isn't it the same as only needs x fixed for $200, excellent running and driving condition.

Would you buy a car from someone who skimps on a $200 repair? :heckno:

A $3m buddy built house in my hood... imagine paying $3m to have a door like that opening to an outdoor patio...

that's the buddy guy 'luxury home' builder starter pack.

1. Glass panel and metal railings
2. 3"> high baseboard molding
3. Cheesy LED lights from the asian lighting stores on Bridgeport
4. Black door hardware

Im guessing the rest will include:

5. Large single direction 'marble' flooring throughout the living room and kitchen
6. big ass CCTV screen on top of the fridge
7. generic shaker cabinets
8. Door with huge window panels that don't match the house.
9. Mix of Hardie board siding and stone pillars.

3 mill used to get you craftsmanship.. now you get hollow core doors with Home Depot hardware? Fuck

And a separate Co2 and smoke? Lol couldn’t buck up for somthing “smart” I’m sure all the low voltage is poorly terminated/run so don’t worry about the future problems! Lol

The ceiling is the wrong place for CO a detector anyways.

^ My pet hamsters learned this the hard way when I was 8 years old and my mom used the self cleaning oven... I've never emotionally recovered from that.

Tsawwassen Mills has been sold to a Billionaire living in Nanaimo. Originally from China this is the 3rd mall she has bought.

Badhobz 10-12-2022 09:51 AM

hopefully she can move some higher end stores in there. that place is dying like most physical retail operation. She needs to move a holt renfrew in there, then it'll be like an alternative Pacific center.

Traum 10-12-2022 10:18 AM

If the Tsawwassen Mills operators (or any other large shopping centers with huge surface parking) were willing to rent their parking lots to the local motorsports clubs for hosting autox events, they could have pulled in some supplemental income while generating some business for the food court...

Well... at least I can dream, BS, and not take any responsibility for the things I say. EleGiggle

bcedhk 10-12-2022 10:19 AM

Most likely they will sweet talk TFN to allow for a mid rise development (even though the whole area is a swamp) and then flip the sale to another Chinese based developer.

Old news. This happened back in May. They had this huge fanfare at the mall in front of Lindt Chocolate. Gave out shitty take home gifts (some ugly ass C Lai scarf) and catered dry event.

The lot nearest the Arby's seems the most suitable for AutoX. The greenery kinda gets in the way though but I'm always down for Arby's.

The location of that mall is a solid 2/10, that's why it's always empty. Noone lives down there, and noone from Vancouver or Langley is driving there for regular shopping

Whoever said the autoX idea for the parking lots, now that is a solid idea. Too bad junkie lee probably already left a bad taste in the malls mouth

Great68 10-12-2022 03:50 PM

I think the success of that mall was heavily banking on the tunnel replacement being done.

Which, would be done by now if the NDP hadn't cocked that all up for purely political reasons. Wankers. Now we get to pay twice as much and wait another half decade for less capacity YAY!

When visited the mall during the summer it was decently packed, though that was on a weekend. I'm guessing it's a pretty quiet mall during the week though, but that may again change when more units get build in Delta / Tsawwassen.

JDMDreams 10-12-2022 05:57 PM

Tawassen seems pretty packed when I go on the weekends, usually stop by after PR to browse or supercharge. Pretty convenient cuz Canadian tire, Walmart is across the street and quite a bit of food options.

How's the market doing? When's the patuololol done? I see some concrete stands being built.

Seriously though, which mall actually has a parking lot suitable for AutoX? Now Traum's got me looking at satellite photos of all the malls.

donk. 10-12-2022 07:08 PM

If Scott road skytrain lot can be converted to an auto x, I'm sure a mall can convert their lot to an auto x

JDMDreams 10-12-2022 08:43 PM

Wasn't the rs meat there before, what happened to that:pokerface:

Hondaracer 10-12-2022 09:42 PM

I’m sure the next billion dollar First Nations development in kits there will work out stunningly as this one has.

This is one of the more pathetic set of photos for a place that I've seen in a while:

That's one sad fireplace setup. Also, 2 year old house that has A/C added on afterwards and in such an ugly fashion? Yikes. Couldn't get the sofa to un-recline either?

A dining room AND a bedroom all in one?! Fuck yeah!

That looks so horrible, would be so much better on a nice TV stand at eye-level and bonus that wire spaghetti could be hidden.

Traum 10-13-2022 10:48 AM

LOL Gosh if I ever list my place for sale, I am 100% gonna totally clear everything out and put them in storage first because it would still look worse than this after I clear out all the clutter. In particular, that moving boxes picture is a much cleaner version than what one of my rooms look like LOL~
