if you buy the passes from 7-eleven they are usually cheaper.

They got rid of the awesome entrance they used to have. And I've heard their haunted houses aren't so great anymore. Why would anyone pay $36??

Stay away from Fright Night.
You're paying a stupid amount of money to go line up for an hour for each house, surrounded by 15 year old kids who think they're the shit because they can hang out after sunset.
Little south asian boys with yellow hair will blatantly budge in front of you with their little ho's, and stare down at you as if you did something wrong. Then at another hour-long line, 6" 3' brown boys will budge in front of you, and look down on you as well.
The houses aren't scary, they're just poorly built plywood mazes with arrows on the groud and random things that pop out. Coasters are what they are, with some fake spiderwebs strewn around.
It is a much better use of your money to go somewhere nice, like the Aquarium. No joke.
Unless you're a 15 year old boy trying to impress a LG. In which case, go for it.

^^ what if you are a 6'2 muscle build guy? I don't think anyone wants to budge you.
Other than Fright night anyone else have other ideas what to do then?
I am going Murders, Mysteries & Mayhem Murders, Mysteries & Mayhem | Tour Guys
They even have a groupon on sale now: Tour Guys Vancouver Deal of the Day | Groupon Vancouver
So basically is $26 for 2 person. I think is pretty decent.

The tour does look promising.
