At all times. Even if I'm in the car for only a couple minutes.

same as other mechanics and lot guys... If it's moving the car within the lot, I don't wear it, but if I ever have to leave the dealership it is worn for sure.

I started out wearing it even within the lot and the other guys just looked at me funny.

my dad does this annoying thing where he takes off the seatbelt after the last turn before getting home. there's still 3-4 blocks to go but he takes it off...

anyone have older folks that grew up in a country with no requirements for seatbelts do this?

My dad started this retarded habit of only putting on his seatbelt after pulling out of the driveway.

Pulls out of the driveway, drives down the alley about 30 feet, then puts on his seatbelt. I would almost, ALMOST understand this as some sort of bad habit he picked up since he was younger. However, he only started doing it about 4 years ago. For what bizarre reason I have no clue. It makes zero sense, and seems stupid because his hands are busy putting on a seatbelt when they should be available should he need to make an emergency maneuver (eg: avoid somebody backing out of their driveway).

dont understand the logic with some people. they never wear seatbelts cuz its uncomfortable (not at all). I have some friends who quickly put on their seatbelts when a cop car is near, but to take it off again when the cop is gone. Is a little discomfort not worth your life?

Mindbomber you say you saw the immediate aftermath of 3 fatal accidents. Are you a paramedic? or just weird coincidences. Just curious.
