need help with DRLs

hey everyone. so ran into a lil wiring issue.so i was able to get my hands on some denjis for dirt cheap. anyways i used to work at a mazda dealership (thats now closed) and they were throwing away 2010 mazda 5 headlights so i kept them to do a retrofit.

the retrofit is now all done. i made a harness that separates the H4 into one H1 plug (highbeams/DRL) and another H7 for the mazda projector.

anyways the other day i wanted to try the DRL out so i wired it up and turned the car on (ebrake down) and nothing happened. the side with the original headlight lit up but not the denji.

any ideas as to how to finish (or start.lol) the wiring so i can have DRLs?

sorry about the long post. trying to be as detailed as possible to get best answers.

thanks in advance for the help
