kakucaekz 05-07-2014 12:50 PM

Picked up some goodies while I was in LA, at some mall in Long Beach and at ToyotaFest. They had a booth there with insane amounts of these! I woulda cleaned house if I had the money, easily.

Favourites are the R34, RX7, AE86, the 2000GT, FnF Supra, and the chibi looking MR2 lol.

is that a plastic or diecast kit? my cousin awhile back showed me a pic of a u-build diecast 1:24 scale skyline model similar to what hotworks used to do but i forget the manufacturer name... just wondering if this is the same.

Its a plastic model, I my self haven't heard of Aoshima quality of the casts looks good with little flash. Although I was hoping it was going to be one you have to paint. it came prepainted, might have to stick with tamyia after this.

i do not know if these pics do any justice but... if the 1:18 scale is correct, the GTR is freaking huge compared to the RX7

tofu1413 05-08-2014 05:16 PM

R35's are gianormous machines.

FD's are very compact...

I ordered an innocent blue FD as well! :fullofwin:

^Plastic car modelling is a lot of fun. The possibilities are endless. ;)
Also, there are a couple of modelling competitions in Vancouver. Build some models and share it with the community. :)
I haven't been to one since 2010. Been way too busy with work and school. Modelling unfortunately takes up too much of my time.

Cant believe this was almost 4 years ago....

Anybody know where I can find Kyosho 1:64 models locally? The detail looks amazing for 1:64. Not sure what prices may be vs online

I got REALLY sick and tired of being outbid on the Hot Wheels Ferrari 599xx Super Treasure Hunt.... it's now going for about $25 - $29 each, ughhhhhhhh

So I went ahead and pulled the trigger and bought a BBR 1:43 Ferrari 599xx EVO
First time I have ever bought something of this quality, it's INSANE. Got a good deal on it. Each version is limited to 60 pieces, I have # 26/60

Looks 1000x better in person
