I bought one locally along with my other unicorn. Ralliart Evo8. Lol so I have two mugen dc5 and a white dc5 Quote:

I've seen that Metrotown auto accessories store beside the pet store carry the Mugen Integra before. Not sure if they still have it though, this was a month or two ago. |

i was thinking of doing this (but with a little less rice with carbon instead of kevlar weave because i can't find the kevlar locally) http://media.voiture-miniature.com/i...n_P1080502.jpg Honda Integra Type R DC5 jun Autoart diecast model car 1/18 - Buy/Sell Diecast car on Alldiecast.us |
I think akinari means autoworld? Ive seen one on different occasions there. Waaaay to pricey for me but iirc it was somewhere between $250-300 for one |
oh my bad... there is a pet shop next to autoworld? i don't want to hate on autoworld, but with the prices they charge it's hard not to. they have a lot of nice vintage stuff, but that might be because no one can afford to buy them so they just sit for a very long time, and their prices climb as they become discontinued :o |
I have been to autoworld for few times over the last month or so, do not recall seeing the mugen dc5 there. strange. |
daaaamn. i've been googling for ideas and found this... i wish i had the time. money too. http://d2vqx76lplv3ab.cloudfront.net...1280h1280_.jpg |
not me, and i am not sure if it is someone here but there is some nice stuff for sale on craigslist here: Selling 1:18 AutoArt Kyosho Diecast (JDM Holy Grail RARE!) Supra/RX7 and then there is this (warning: may induce uncontrollable drooling...) http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/pml/clt/4855647302.html |
Thumper, that blue DC5 for $60 is a steal, I've been looking for an AA DC5 for the longest time but they're all overpriced on Ebay, I'd pay you more then $60 for yours if you want to sell it to me lol. |
omg. you are like the third person to ask... where should i start the bidding at? :D |

i nominate you to go first.... unless you buy everything and leave nothing for us. |

sigh. and you didn't bring the rest of us with you? we could have made a RS road trip out of it (that, and i need more hands to help me carry everything out :p ) Quote:

geez louise the man had like 20+ duplicate of the same car...imagine trying to keep all the boxes for those models, he'll need a costco warehouse for them |
i know collectors that buy in pairs with one going in storage and the other for display but yeah this is a bit much... |

but man, that kyosho supra. Damn it :megusta: |
Quote:
wilkinsons has that kyosho for a lot more money than what this guy is asking for, so i was thinking it might be a good buy... but for me i know it has good collector value but as a diecast on it's own it's very dated and could have been better. why is it no one else will do the supra? i think there was jada and whoever made the fast and furious version (ertl?) and neither were that good. |
yeah the Ertl one was pretty bad. the proportions were completely off. the wheels were a joke. The paint and decal quality was decent for the F&F orange supra though. |

i am thinking of going there after work today, but i am not sure how to deal with this because usually there is a specific model and a price in mind... not sure what to expect here and how much $ to bring. how did you and tofu handle this? |
went to look at models in person first. made a list of what we want. went home and emailed him back to what we want. he gives us his asking price. |
were his prices good? i am going to assume so since you keep going back for more lol |
Contacted the Kyosho guy, all sold. Too bad, was kinda looking to buy the Supra |
