Uniqlo US Webstore

the japanese "fast-fashion" retailer just opened their online store in the US...good news for those that frequents Pt Roberts/Blaine/Sumas.

Any idea how they fit?

Women's, Men's and Kids' Clothing and Accessories | UNIQLO

They plan on opening 20-30 locations a year trying to take on Zara and H&M...so there's a good chance they'll be in town soon.

It depends on if they re-sized shit to fit fatass Americans. In Japan, an L fits like a M for me.

I have a few of the Metal Gear shirts, and they are all xl's but I could fit into a large.

If they port their stuff right over, the woman's clothes will fit most asians, the gf loves them and bought a bunch when we were in Japan earlier this year. The men's stuff.... I'm not too fond of. Their collars are either too small or too big.

They already have Uniqlo stores in the US, so I assume that the sizing matches what is in their existing physical US stores.. nothing to 'port over'

They changed their size chart, so the original XL becomes an L. I think for T-shirts and stuff they also added a US XL

Uniqlo Asia Large = Uniqlo UK/US Medium + Extra Sleeve Length.

I have two Uniqlo cardigans. One purchased from Uniqlo in NYC and one from HK. They are different cardigans but both size medium. The NYC one is definitely larger fits like a North American size medium. The HK one more like a North American S or even XS.

We can't use our Canadian credit cards because they don't take Canadian billing addresses.

here i'll quote it just in case ppl are

Dear StylinRed,

Thank you for your email.

Yes it is possible to ship your order to the US. Your registered address should be matched with your billing address. If this is not the case then it may fail our security checks.

We will manually authorize the payment and order if you send us the order number and your actual billing address by email shortly after placing the order.

Hit or miss depending on the rep that you replies it seems.

Dear xxxxx,

Thank you for your email.

I do apologize, it seems as if it would be impossible for you to complete this purchase without both the billing address and the shipping address being a U.S based residence. If this is not the case then it may fail our security checks.

However, upon checking my online banking it appears the transaction went through automatically. I entered my full address in the City field of the Uniqlo Website and for state and Zip selected WA and 11111, and it seems it tricked the credit card authorization system into allowing the transaction.

Went to Uniqlo when I was in NYC and got some sweaters from there. I usually wear XS/S but got S sweaters. Their shirts almost fit the same as J.Crews I think.
