The open carry gun nuts looking to bait cops into an argument are some of the worst. Though it sure is great when the cops don't get lured in, and the guys videotaping it end up looking like asses.

That officer handled that situation EXTREMELY well. I love how idiots think because they can read a statute on the internet that they know what it means and go out in the world trying to TEST it lol. We have rights and freedoms in the Western World that people are dying to have a piece of in other countries. Yet here we have, idiots like this trying to actually abuse them and test their limits. For what reason?...Entertainment. Rights should never be tested for entertainment purposes.

This guy needs a JOB.

I know here in Toronto, taxi drivers don't have to wear a seat belt.

I don't know what the cell phone/driving laws are in Michigan...but how hard was it for the officer to just buckle up?

In the end, the officer was being the bigger dick for ignoring the law and the driver.

You guys probably know by now that I'm into guns, but this is just fucking idiotic.

I understand that carrying a semi-auto is legal in some places, but I doubt that you would ever need a PDW AND a pistol if shit went down. A glock 17 carries 17 rounds in a standard non-modified magazine, which can be upped to 33 with other mags. 17 rounds should be enough to take down someone that is intent on killing you, this guy right here is just a shit head looking for attention.

What this guy shows is a complete lack of logic, and entertainment is no excuse for it. I don't mind supporting those who feel the need to carry something to protect themselves, but even I have limits in terms of what I think is stupid.

Gives gun enthusiasts a bad name.

Agreed, but really, who cares? Who ends up getting hurt if the officer isn't wearing a seatbelt? The officer! I don't care if he's breaking that law lol. I only care that my friends and family don't break the seatbelt law. I wouldn't want them to get hurt because of a stupid mistake. If the officer decides to be careless and hurts himself because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt, well that's sad, I don't wish ham on him; but it's his own fault and no one else needs to remind him to wear it.

Also agreed. It's people like this who make people like myself feel that gun enthusiasts OFTEN end up being eccentric firepower crazed ppl who want to be prepared for a civil war. This totally dis-empowers and gives a bad rep. to those who are holding guns to protect their homes/family or for hunting.

it goes back to 'lead by example'

If law enforcement can't/don't obey the law...just don't go ticketing people without seatbelts then.

It didn't help the officer had a huge grin on his face lol

Oh I totally agree. I'm just saying for my perspective I'd be a lil annoyed that he's not setting forth an example and that there is no one there to penalize him for breaking the law...

....but really, he's the one who will end up suffering in the long run for it.
