fml
i love those noodles

Graeme S 10-25-2012 06:41 PM

Fuck it. Everything gives you cancer.

"[insert item here] has been found to cause cancer, a replacement is now being used"
-five years later-
"[insert item], which was found to cause cancer, was replaced by [replacement], which has just now been discovered to have a cancer risk five times greater than that of [insert item]."

Repeat ad nauseum. Live the best you can, but you can't control everything. If you get cancer, you're going to fucking get cancer. And if you were eating enough of those noodles to be worried, there is undoubtedly something else happening in your life which is probably even more likely to kill you.

YAY DEATH!

ShyGuy 10-25-2012 06:41 PM

You do know that everytime you eat barbecued meat that has any burnt part, you're ingesting benzopyrene too? I wouldn't worry too much about this.

This.

Shit, I bet you have a larger chance of dying from having an iphone. "Hey, look at me texting while walking and not looking both ways at a crosswalk"

I remembered when some scientist said Cellphones can give your brain a tumor...then they found out it was like a 1 in 1 billion chance of even doing so and even then the cellphone may not had even be the cause...Yeah, everything "could" pose harmful :(

This. imagine how much benzopyrene humans have eaten over millions of years.

There are plenty of reasons not to eat this garbage. cancer is at the bottom of the list.

In high school/university I used to eat this stuff several times a week.

Now I limit myself to no more than 1 or 2 times a month.

I just can't cut it out completely. The Neoguri will always be a vice of mine :concentrate:

Sushi604 10-26-2012 08:24 AM

Never had Neoguri... must try some this weekend.

Side topic: Where is the cheapest place to buy all these ramyeon noodles? I noticed prices vary wildly.

At H-Mart they had 5-packs of Shin Ramyeon for $3.99 and and Shin Ramyeon Black for $4.99. Single packs of Ansungtangmyun were $1.29. :okay:

Walmart had Ansungtangmyun for $0.88 each I think. Superstore is slightly more expensive.

GGnoRE 10-26-2012 12:24 PM

Can't beat the original red. It's been #1 in the korean market for 20 years now. Perhaps that will change now..

sam0m0 10-26-2012 12:43 PM

This thread made me hungry, just went home and ate shin ramyun black for lunch. fried a egg, bacon and califlower threw it in it.

Like the factory-farm fruit and veg that are grown with copious amounts of pesticides and fertilizers? Like factory-butchered meat that gets contaminated with ecoli? Like food products found in grocery stores that have finishings to make them look better (wax on apples, cucumbers, etc).

I'm not saying you should stop eating everything, but everything will kill you and give you cancer. I've just given up worrying about it.

asian_XL 10-26-2012 04:47 PM

Gangnam Cancer Style

I like all three equally as it gets really boring eating one flavour all the time.
