Retro Gaming Done Right: Neo Geo X

looks pretty great quality...lots of same parts as the original
$199 is pricey...but if I had money to burn I would rather get this over the Wii-U...would love to play some Metal Slug on this.
Wonder how it'll do compared to the Atari Flashback 3

Looks interesting, but I rather just hook my laptop to my TV and play with an arcade stick via emulation.

You can have most NeoGeo games emulated on PSP.

Why would you spend money on this new console ??

The same reason people still buy the original Nintendo, nostalgia. The Original Neo Geo was way ahead of it's time.

My dad's neo geo still works. Played some of the games with my friends the other time and got my ass handed to me. Old school games are so much harder, not like the games nowadays.

yeah the only drawback of older console is it looks absolute dogshit on HDTV...so it's only good if you have a tube tv still kickin' around.

this unit may suffer the same..but it said HDMI connection so wonder if it scales okay

I think this is a very niche product...Neo Geo wasn't that big like Nintendo (but similar to Dreamcast ahead of its time) so I'd argue not many people are crazy enough about SNK games to want to buy this.

As long as you have good upscale software or hardware....it always looks good.
