Disney's done a great job with Marvel Characters, so I'm quite happy with this news.

George was just a 3-hit wonder, the last 3 SW's were terrible, from Hayden C's acting to all the stupid characters lead by Jar Jar Binks... The coolest character of the most recent SW's was Darth Maul, and they fuckin' killed him so fast.

Even the last Indiana Jones film he made was lame.

4billion is a lil too much, Disney should get a discount for the last round of shitty movies that Lucas disappointed fans with.

It's the merchandising that is all also controlled by Lucasfilm that is worth the money, plus ILM and the audio house.

Still going to take awhile to make it worth the 2 billion in cash they paid though.

Maybe they'll make that movie/series about Bounty Hunters now; didn't Lucas pull out of the idea because of his visions

i dont think a Timothy Zahn Star Wars is realistic, making the timeline work would be the biggest catch getting actors to play luke leia and han that arent the originals would seem pretty cheap IMO

but ima go re-read the books because they were fawsome

I have faith in Disney that the Star Wars Episode 7 will be good... Regardless if it turns out to be crap or not, I'm still going to see it and so will a shit load of fan boys

For what it's worth, Lucas has made a bunch of decent movies other than the OG Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Has anyone seen THX 1138, American Graffiti, Willow, Labyrinth, etc.?

He's just been harshly criticised (correctly, or not... it's personal opinion) for his rehashes of the original SW trilogy and the latest ones and unfortunately not many people think to look at his other films.

I have. And I like 'em. But unfortunately, those movies have one big thing in common:

They're older than most of the current population of Revscene.
