As a Star Wars fanboi, I'd have to say it's about time Lucas get the hell out of the Star Wars universe. He has stopped being an asset to the series and the SW universe in general after he finished episodes 4 - 6.

Why? He hasn't made a good Stars Wars film in 29 years. Good fucking riddance. Who knows, maybe Disney will make another properly good film in the franchise. If not, there'll be plenty of time to hate them later.

the deal makes sense.
Disney already has a ton of license agreements with Lucasfilm already, including Star Wars weekend at Disneyland, now they can have them full time!

visit Red Letter Media and watch the reviews of the Star War prequels. Give George the freedom to do as he wants and he screws everything up.

Disney could improve things if done right. They made both Tron movies so they can do sci-fi/fantasy.

I hope it revolves around Timothy Zahn's Grand Admiral Zahn series. I used to be a Star Wars geek and, frankly, that was one of the only good book trilogies. Not sure how well it could be adapted to film, though.

Should have stopped after the first 3. Now there going to milk it for every last cent. Maybe they will do a Marvel/Starwars crossover flick.
