Google Nexus 7 ROM's

So while I try to decide which phone to buy next, I picked myself up a Nexus 7 to use (play) all the Apps (Games) that my Galaxy S can't run.

Now that I have it I am considering custom ROM's. Only problem is I'm an absolute Noob. I rooted my old Galaxy S but other than that no real experience. I've used Odin but I have to find a super detailed tutorial for every step.

Hoping the experienced guys here can provide two things.

1. What is the lowest overhead Rom available. Trying to avoid bloatware and other things using up resources for no good.

2. Is there a complete and detailed tutorial that will hold my hand and help my paint the new Rom onto my Tablet by Numbers? I want to be treated like a kindergärtner here, left alone I will probably just lick the screen and eat glue.

The Nexus 7 has no bloatware. It's called a Nexus because it runs pure stock Android with no skins or plugins or non essential software.

That being said you'd probably best hit up XDA and find info there.

Bloatware was a poor choice of words, point taken.

I understood ROMS like Slim Bean were supposed to make the tablet work more efficiently by paring the software down to it's basics.

Is that correct?

Thought I'd ask around here since this forum exists.

Guess I'll go troll around XDA some more.

It's probably the stock cyanogenMod kernel that comes with that ROM.

BTW. I fixed your title
