lens repair

i dropped my Canon EF 70-300mm 4-536 IS USM from 4 ft. high down to my floors... now the focus is stuck, i could manually focus it but it takes quite a bit of power to even rotate the focus ring.

i heard sending the lens to Canon for repair could possibly cost an arm or a leg
anybody know a good place for camera lens repair? and approx. how much it would cost to fix my jammed / stuck focus ring??
anybody else who had the same problem with their lens?

send it to canon. anywhere else will be more expensive and they will not do as good a job.

(or buy a new lens)

Probably not worth fixing after shipping & servicing, sorry to say.
