Google autocorrect missing?? (e.g. "Did you Mean", "Showing result for instead")

In the past when I type something with the wrong spelling in google, (e.g. calagry vs calgary) it would either say "Showing results for Calgary instead of calagry", or something like "Did you mean Calgary?" and a link for me to click and search with the correct spelling...

This function seems to have disappeared on my computers recently..? Did google disabled the function? And is there anyway I can turn it back on? (I can't find anything on my setting menu....)

Please help me...i really need google to do my spellcheck for me...

btw, sometimes it would still correct the search terms spelling for me automatically, but now it no longer has the heading "Showing result for xxx instead of xxy"...
I want it back the old way...

It could be a configuration setting on your Google account. On the search results screen, click on the cog on the top right, and then go to search settings. Go to Languages and make sure it's set to English.

haven't changed anything settings as far as I can remember
just checked and made sure the language setting is on English too..no help

Other things I notice on this problem:
1) I still get the "Showing results for XXX, search instead for XXY" if I search google image.
2) I have had this problem on my Home PC since around 2 weeks ago, but my laptop was fine at that time....but now even the laptop is having the same problem.
