The lady that is behind Obama right now should really take that flag out of her hair

Harvey Specter 11-06-2012 11:03 PM

Karl Rove's panic attack on Fox News was epic, lmao.

And like I said earlier in the thread which was Obama winning big came true. I am a bit surprised that Romney didn't take Florida and Virginia but even if he did it wouldn't have made a difference.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re black or white or Hispanic or Asian or Native American or young or old or rich or poor, able, disabled, gay or straight, you can make it here in America if you’re willing to try.

I think he's far worst than Don Cherry. Don Cherry isn't a media whore and doesn't spew crazy ass conspiracy theories and to be honest with you I don't mind Don Cherry at all. Trump on the other hand is deliberately pushing the far right to be even more crazier with bs like offering $5 million dollars if Obama shows his college application, like are you serious?

He might be worse, but they are both basically blow-hard right wing media whores.

What great news, so happy Obama won, I still have some hope for the American populace. This will be the last time the Republican party can run on the all white male vote and win a federal election. Two things will happen with the Republican party:

1. Major internal chaos will ensue, and the direction of the party will move more centrist to bring in more voters.
2. They will move further to the right, and concentrate more on state level politics, and scale back on winning federal campaigns for president.

I have a feeling they will choose the latter route, which will only further ostracize the party from the voting public.

Either way it's a win win for society as a whole.

StylinRed 11-07-2012 11:48 AM

the party will die away unless they can attract minorities en masse but they'll have to ostracize the tea party that they embraced this time around (kind of see finger pointing at the tea party already)

In an absolute best case scenario, the Americans realize that a two-party system just doesn't work.

But maybe that's too European--I mean "far-eign"--for them.

StylinRed 11-07-2012 12:35 PM

^^^ lol fat chance

I think they might go with the route of putting a minority up for election next time, not an idiot, but someone like Bobby Jindal that is if they can get the far right to get behind him

for those wondering "bobby who?" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Jindal << not only is he a minority republican but he's a bloody genius

Quote:

Jindal was one of 50 students nationwide admitted to the Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME) at Brown University, guaranteeing him a place in medical school. He was interested in public policy. Jindal also completed a second major in biology. He graduated in 1991 at the age of 20, with honors in both majors.

Jindal was named a member of the 1992 USA Today All-USA Academic Team. He was accepted by both Harvard Medical School and Yale Law School, but studied at New College, Oxford, as a Rhodes Scholar. He received an M.Litt. degree in political science with an emphasis in health policy from the University of Oxford in 1994 for his thesis "A needs-based approach to health care".[4] He turned down an offer to study for a D.Phil. in politics

Ronin 11-07-2012 12:46 PM

LOL so basically the only way Romney could've won was if only white men could vote.

Sad part for the Republicans is that Romney did get a majority of the white vote and lost bad.

And an interesting fact; Bush in 88 got the same amount of white votes Romney got and he won over 400 electoral colleges, Romney got the same vote but only got half. The demographic is shifting so fast in the US that within the next 20 years Texas and Arizona could be swing states because of the Latino vote. I wish The Republicans luck because you might see a Dem president for the next few years based on the shifting demographics.
