The regular is usually good enough for me. Or if I'm really feening, I'll have 2 regular cups.

ive had it for a couple of years now, serves me quite well. i just buy the beans bulk from save on and grind them with the grinder there. ya theres some clean up involved after but meh.

I don't like any of the Nabob/Maxwell stuff.
I actually prefer the President's Choice one to those.

With the caffe lattes, hot chocolates, anything that involves the milk tdisc, don't forget to stir that shit up, lol. That was my first mistake with my first cup.
I'd imagine all the units are the same. I don't care too much for the lattes, but I really do like the gevalia dark coffee.
My next purchase down the road will be a milk frother, and an nexpresso machine.. But those are super pricey Posted via RS Mobile |

for those of you who bought the T65 bundle from Costco, did it come with the original T disk holder (recalled) or the newer one? Also, anyone else have a T65 that sounds like a jack hammer while it brews? =/

If the water reservoir is not in properly you will get a louder "jack hammer" like sound.
The sound is the water getting sucked through the reservoir and from the vibration of it all.

Actually bought both the Tassimo T55 (Best Buy) and the Keurig B70 (Costco variety pack).
Trying to figure out which one i like better haha. I would probably stick with the Tassimo if it weren't for the limited brands of coffee, but it does make specialty drinks and can brew drinks accordingly based on the barcode.
The Keurig on the other hand has way more options to choose from (Starbucks!) however it's pretty much as it is, flavoured coffee. But the fact that it has the ability for you to use a reusable filter is a bonus.
Will report back when i try them both and make up my mind (course will buy own T-Discs and K-Cups till i decide). Probably the best option for anyone stuck between the two.

I think going with tassimo is more of a gimmick, and with the keurig is more of a coffee machine. Therefor, if I just wanted a coffee machine, I'd go buy a $25 coffe brewer, then spend $100 plus on it.
If you wanted starbucks, you can also get their own brand. Posted via RS Mobile |

Tassimo has the barcode thing with different brew options depending on the disc.
Keurig just runs water straight through at one setting like a normal coffee machine. Quote:

To add to what vafanculo said, if you're willing to go through the process of adding grinds to the filter, brewing, removing the filter and cleaning it, you might as well get a $25 brewer and use that extra $100 for coffee and such

Don't think i'd have the patience to prep and clean the filter every so often anyways, these machines are single serve to begin with.
For me, the Keurig just offers more choices of coffee and offers more control over the size/temperature (be it 5 degrees) of the brew versus the Tassimo and the limited control - though the T55 i picked up at least offers a little bit more control over the strength, not that the other models can't.
But just as the gimmick selling point, i think the Tassimo has me sold since it doesn't just run water through a pod and might actually taste better, just wish it had more choices.

Where as the Tassimo has different settings for different discs. You'll find that some discs brew faster, and some brew slower.
I guess that's a drawback of the Tassimo, is that you can't simply adjust the size of the serving.

wouldn't buy either. you can make real, quality drinks cheaper and better with real equipment.
fresh milk and freshly ground espresso is where it's at. once you grind espresso the internal oils degrade. that's why you grind it when you use it.
-stove top espresso maker
-hand powered milk throther
-espresso grinder
-for a regular coffe nothings better then a french press. it only takes a few minutes longer then boiling water in a kettle.

LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZY.
