| Choosing component speakers and coaxial speakers [HELP]
Hi guys,
I have an old system with JL W6 12" (2 units), Rockford Fosgate Amp (4channels and a monoblock) and I'm looking to change the front (component) speakers and rear (coaxial speakers).
I've been researching and eyeing on 2 brands so far. I wish I can go with Focal but my budget does not fit the price tag.
I listen to most songs, mainly easy jazz, pop and r&b so clarity is quite a concern. I do not really like the tweeter to have too high pitch which will make you fatigue of listening too long. I will be in the car most of the time so it's quite important to avoid that kind of tweeter.
So far I've been eyeing on:
COMPONENT
- JL C2-650
- JL C2-600 (I heard the 6" sounds better than 6.5")
- Alpine SPR-60C
COAXIAL
- JL C2-600X
- JL C2-650X
- Alpine SPR-60
Which one of those category do you recommend and it would be best if you can chip in your experience? Please reply asap because I will need to make a decision in a few days.

Hybrid Imagines.
won't get a better value, and they are component AND co-ax in one! (convertable)
I could go on and on about how good they are, but going to Sounds good and actually hearing them and being able to compare in person is probably gonna be the deal breaker for you

Ditch the rears and go active. Use 2 channels of the amp for the tweets and 2 for the mids. Remember the install is the most imortnt part. Also whats the rush in buying new speakers?

I listened to all of your choices and all I have found tiresome after a lengthy listen. What do you currently have? what is you budget?

Also whats the rush in buying new speakers? | This is a great idea...however, you need to make sure that the amplifier can support this active set-up. Does the amp have a LPF, HPF and/or a bandpass setting? Maybe not. You'll want to avoid running the mids at full range at the top end. You can also make a semi-active set-up if you use the passive crossover for the midbass and run the tweet off of the 2 channels assuming it'll cross over up to 2K.
Anyways, please have a listen to a few sets of speakers before making a decision. What you like and what others like may be two different things.

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I'm actually not local (yet) and getting new speakers for my old system that desperately needs new speakers. I had Focal Kevlar series in my other car and I love it but it does not fit the budget on this one.
My budget is around $300 per set (lower on coaxial) but i'm looking for best bang for the buck in the limited market as we don't have hertz, morel, hybrid imagines and other brands which are more serious into audiophile class.
We have pioneer, rockford, alpine, mtx, JL, JBL, RE (surprisingly), Kenwood, Clarion, basically brands that are widely known in the market. Yes, they have Focal and Dynaudio but they does not fit my budget.
