RIP Larry Hagman (J.R. Ewing)

Actor Larry Hagman has passed away from complications with cancer.

The 81-year-old is best known for his roles as J.R. Ewing on Dallas and Major Nelson on I Dream of Jeannie.

In 2011, Hagman announced he had cancer. In 1995, he underwent surgery for a liver transplant.

Media reports say Hagman was surrounded by family and friends when he died, including Dallas co-stars Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy.

Turns out cancer killed JR, despite Kristin's best attempt to get there first.

RIP

I couldn't believe it when I saw him in trailers for the new Dallas remake, I thought he'd died years ago. Sad to see him finally go though.
