What are you taking and why are you taking it?

Been reading a thread about how youths are having a hard time starting their careers after graduation so wanted to see/hear what people are taking in their university/college and why you are doing it.

Taking marketing management with 2nd year option of entrepreneurship at BCIT, looking to have a fast pace school so I can graduate sooner and start working ASAP. All my courses are business related unlike at university, u gotta take some random bullshit lol, was trying to get into the business management but was put into this instead, I picture myself opening small, local businesses with family and friends, helping one another make a living, also want to do something for the community, run some charitable events and give back!

Just finished my first semester at Douglas College, for my criminology diploma, while getting my diploma I am also enrolling in all the courses needed for transfer to SFU to complete another two years. The additional two years at SFU are for sure yet, I just want to be able to get in if I have to. My goal with school is to increase my chances of getting accepted in either the RCMP or municipal police.

Law at UBC. I find law really interesting, it affects everything around us and knowledge of the law can be used in so many different practical ways. You actually see the world in a different light when studying/practising law.

And contrary to popular opinion, most lawyers are not sleazebags; they actually want to help or maybe I'm still just too optimistic.

Its a lot of work but it is also so rewarding. Anyway... back to studying for December exams.

Doing my BBA at BCIT along with courses in the CGA program.
I chose this path because I actually have an affinity for numbers and I really like `business` in general. I like how numbers are used in decision making and I really like analyzing processess/business structure.

Marketing Management at Langara. I adore the cognitive processes behind successful marketing campaigns and wish to execute one myself.
