Experience with Coverage One / Extended Warranty/

Car lease is coming up and soon out of warranty...

I am deciding whether to keep the car or return it...I still like the car and all, plus the lease buyout price seem quite good...
But it had a few engine problem and expensive repair the past year so the only way I would keep the car is if I can get extended warranty after the factory 80k expired.

It turns out BMW doesn't offer their own extended warranty for vehicles before 2011...and most dealers sell Coverage One (by GM) extended warranty. However I have always heard mixed review on aftermarket extended warranty so I am not sure if it is a good thing

Anyone here had experience with coverage one extended warranty? How are they when compared to the factory warranty? Do you just bring the car in for warranty work and the dealer bill Coverage One directly? Anyone ever had problem with them denying a claim?

btw car is 09 335i @ 77K
last year had HPFP replaced, turbo + muffler replaced, and injectors replaced a few times...

Sometime these warranty are not worth it. It all depends on how much is the deductible is and how much it covers up to and what it covers. (Read the fine print)I remember one customer had an x5 and need warranty on an axle shaft. He ended up getting back like $50 bux a few month after sending in the paperwork. Was it worth it? Probably not. But if the tranny went and it covers the whole thing, then that is great.

Definitely get the warranty with that car. I wouldn't want to drive one without warranty.

doesn't coverage one have different levels depending on which package you buy?

just carefully read the options.
