1992 240sx weird light clicking

Whenever I open my doors, the lights will flicker on and off like this for 10~15 seconds before it stops by itself. I have looked through the FSM and also checked the door chime under the panel inside the car and I still cannot find out what is causing it.
The only lights that do not flicker is the foot-well lights, dome light, trunk light, and the map lights.

In case I'm not making sense here is the vid I took. If anyone ever encountered this please let me know what you did to fix it. I didn't think much of it until a friend pointed out to me.

It was probably when you got rid of the door chime that some wires got crossed or something.

No I don't think so. It was like that before I got rid of the door chime.

remove the alarm....

I've only ever installed one alarm but it had an option to hook the alarm brain to the lighting circuit to flash the lights. Disconnect that (Never hooked min up). However when your alarm goes off it may no longer flash the outside lights to inform people what car alarm is sounding.

You are going to need a wiring schematic 1st, then you'll need to locate the brain and most likely un-tape the alarm harness and some of the car harness. locate the illumination wire on the brain/car harness and disconnect.

Wish I could of more help but there is no universal alarm wiring harness and I don;t know what kind of alarm you have.

Yup thats the alarm causing that. Look under your dash on the main ignition harness there should be some wires tapped in there with some fuses. pull them out.

Hmm maybe that would have been better lol. I cut one of the wires that went all the way to the dome light and it stopped making the click sounds. I didn't notice anything being different other than the clicks went away. So I don't think I screwed anything up lol
