Best New Customer Deal? (for iPhone5)

So fed up with Fido and their incompetence that I'm considering paying the $400 early cancellation fee and switching to a new provider. (I can probably recover at least half of the early termination fee by selling my existing iPhone4 on Craigslist.)

Anyone have any suggestions as to which company is offering the best new customer deals?

Criteria:

- Only interested in an iPhone5, don't care about size (16Gb is OK)

- don't care much about voice minutes, I don't talk on the phone too often, especially during daytime hours

- I use a lot of data, would be looking for at least 1Gb per month included

- International / roaming bonuses (ie. free worldwide texting, Canada-wide calling, etc) would be nice

- Would need to have both Caller ID and Visual Voicemail (either included in the plan or as an add-on)

- Willing to pay up to $80/mo for the above

Suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

Some will pay for a part of your cancellation fee. Not sure if this promo is over or not.

Lol by the sounds of it that $57/month plan Fido has fits your needs the best. I don't think anyone is offering a 6gb plan right now, but I could be wrong. Check on Howard forums to be sure.

I saw that. I would be willing to give Telus a try, but I'd also be happy to go with another company if they have superior monthly plans (even if it means paying more up front for the phone).

Yeah, except that I've been a Fido customer (with monthly bills averaging over $120) for 5 years... and they reward customer loyalty by making me inelgibile for promotional plans like the $56 one. (Plus I hate Fido and wish to leave... and would like to get a new phone out of it too).

Anyone else have suggestions? Rogers, Virgin, Bell...?

Ur cancelation fee cannot be more than 200/250 it states in ur contract "up max to *** " I know how u feel about fido I talked to their reps for the promo plan too and they can't give it to me but you can switch to 67$ max plan what is identical to the 56$ one... Reason u can't get the 56 one for that price is cause it's on a 2 year contract basis... Aka u would have initially paid more for ur phone when signing... Ask them to change ur plan to the 67$ max plan... Same shit as the 56 one just more money cause of phone buyout when signing with a 2 year contract. Cheers

Its up to 300 for voice only and up to 200 for data only (i think). So actually his $400 cancellation is not a big surprise. My cancellation with Rogers recently was $3xx too.
