Cheapest Key Cutting places?
 

Hey guys just wanted to see how much it is for basic key cut for a house key....Anything cheaper than $3 out there?

For real? Is it even worth your time and effort to post this and keep checking the thread? Just pay the $3.

Home Depot is pretty cheap, couldn't tell ya if its cheaper than $3 though...

This is like driving 20kms to save on the $1.50 ATM charge

Careful about Home Depot. I've had 2 experiences where the keys they cut did not work. Got my money back but not going there again. Went there for the convenience. Makes sense to just go to a place that is actually known for cutting keys and pay the $5 or whatever they charge.

anyway, go to Canadian tire. they have mechanical key cutters so they should always work. more accurate than some employee doing it.

Has anyone tried the automated machines at home Depot?

+1 stay away from home depot they are horrible. on 3 occasions i had to go back at least 3 times and eventually gave up and went elsewhere after getting my money back.

I think what he wants to do is to derive a fuel-distance consumption function, automotive wear-tear function, time-spent function for each suggestion you provide and optimize them.

When he chooses the most theoretically cost-effective path, he will then measure everything about the trip and calculate the errata, and the influence of random variables (ie. traffic, weather, humidity, etc)

Next time he needs a key cut again, he can calculate the variances.

All my keys are cut from home depot and I've never had a problem, although like others from this thread ymmv

I'll use Canadian Tire from now on, keys worked the first time, satisfied.

Maybe he wants to copy like a hundred keys or something. Or copy one key a hundred times, that shit adds up guys.

In my experience with key cutting, you get what you for.

Broadway Locksmiths is my go-to place for key cutting.

How many keys you gotta cut? Are you a jailer? Do you throw away your keys after you use them for hygienic reasons? Do you plan on leaving keys around the city in a sinister plot to kill Batman?

I will personally pay for your keys to be cut if you give me a reason for this question.
