spring rates and revalving

Ive been googling this question for a bit. I wanna use a 8k spring on a shock that is currently using a 6k spring. Is that ok? Also for future reference, how many spring rates up am I allowed before revalving a shock?

it depends on what u use ur car for. dd? what kind of shocks do u have?

Considering 1 kg/mm = ~56 lbs/in, that puts you at ~450 lb springs.
Koni Yellows max out at roughly 500 lbs, I think the KYB and Tokico are a little bit less than the Konis

Answered you over at 8th...didn't know you're local lol

I think typically it's 2kg/mm or 100lb/in.

Depends what shock you're running and for what car though.

Ran 6kg F / 8kg R in an EF civic on Koni Yellows (stock valving) Lasted about 2 years before a rear shock blew, not bad.
