I can cheap out this year because it's gonna be too much to send anything to her

:fuckyea:

Matlock 02-03-2013 06:43 AM

Oh yeah,
I'll let you guys in on a Valentine's day secret. Buy your roses from Costco. It ends up being like $20 for a dozen.

If you don't have a Costco membership, you can always get one :D

Last year: "You didn't have to buy me flowers, they're too expensive." :ahwow:

I used to be really turned off by the idea of Valentine's day, but women like to be pampered and it can be done for quite cheaply if you put in some effort. Costco flowers, home made card, home made dinner + dessert. Done, for under $50

It's just a matter of what you're willing to spend. A little bit of time or a lot of money for the same thing.

while all the lovers are holding each others hands dining and we'd all troll faced up, laughing and going U MAD BRO?

would be epic.

Good thing my gf likes Japanese and she specifically said she wants Japanese food lol so just going to take her to Richmond. Any good Japanese restaurant in Richmond that special (not something like ordinary)

Don't let your gf know there's Miku downtown! Will cost you an arm and a leg!

Also Manzo is pretty good as I have went many times on valentines day. They have a special menu in addition to the normal menu

Cheesecake etc is a downer now :( It's because your strawberry is rather a jam with barely any strawberries in it!

I love the one at cheesecake factory since its huge pieces of strawberries.

Where's the best place to buy roses in Richmond or Vancouver? I checked out Vin's but I'd like to see if there is anything else.

Thanks! :alone:

alwayslive 02-06-2013 08:27 PM

last two valentines I tripped balls trying to plan a "perfect date"
this year i'm just going to spend a ton of time folding her 100 roses (since she doesnt like real flowers) and baking her some white chocolate brownies since she said she wanted them... I have school till 6:30 and she has work till 10 so I guess not much else I can do!

Akinari 02-06-2013 08:53 PM

Last year I blew nearly half a grand on a girl who spontaneously dumped me two days after Valentine's. Shortly after, I discovered she was actually cheating on me for the longest time.

Still a little traumatized, but I think I'm ready to move on. I met a really nice girl who I get along with quite well and just happens to be in two of my lectures. She's explicitly stated she's interested in seeing what it's like to be in a relationship, as she's never been in one. If things go well and I man up a bit, maybe I'll ask her out on Valentine's

It's also slightly humourous because I'm 5' 11" and she's nearly two heads shorter than me  very difficult to keep her head covered with an umbrella without getting myself soaked.

Awww good luck akinari :D glad to hear things are working out this time
