How do they do 10 x 10?

if you need to draw a fucking picture to do 10 x 10 then you're obviously not Japanese

^Many years ago, I learned a neat trick for squaring numbers ending in 5, and never forgot it: the last two digits will always be 25; then take the leading digit(s), add one, and multiply that by the original digit.

Thus: 15 squared, you'd take 1, add 1 (for 2), then multiple 2x1 to get the first digit (2), and tack on a 225: 15^2 = 225.

So:
25^2 is ((2+1)*2) = 3*2 = 6 -> 625
35^2 is ((3+1)*3) = 4*3 = 12 -> 1225
115^2 is ((11+1)*11 = 12*11 = 132 -> 13225
815^2 is ((81+1)*81 = 82*81 = 6642 -> 664225

And so on.

My favourite snowboard part this year. Torstein horgmo. This guy stomps everything. I was lucky enough to take a couple laps with him in whistler 2 summers ago at Camp of champs. The guy looks like he could ride in his sleep.

if u carry over the numbers it actually works out o.o

wow i learned to multiply the old fashioned (chinese?) way. memorize the 9x9 table, dictate to parents starting from 2, and ruler smack for every mistake.

I did that when I was young, and then I took it in elementary school like 4 years later, and our dumbass teacher made us start with 1x1.

I would just use a calculator or do the long multiplication instead of drawing lines and circles
