They brought the price down to 99k, this car is finally seeing a more realistic price point, another 35k, and might be a good deal

I must be the only person on earth that refuses to even look at rebuilt cars that are over 5k. God knows who and how they did that work. There is some janky ass shit out there.
A 5k Jetta that got totaled because of a rear ender i'll take a swing, but a NSX for 80+......

For me it would depend on why and when it became rebuilt. I'd have no problem with a theft recovery from years ago, but I'd never touch a flood car or something that was crashed.

I don’t agree with the $5000 limit but in general yeah I wouldn’t even think about a rebuilt unless the deal is INSANE. Everyone asking 30k for their ITR’s, your rebuilt better be 10k. Focus RS back to MSRP 45-50k? Your rebuilt RS better be 18-20k.
There’s some guy trying to sell his rebuilt RS for 35, saying the “hence the price” lol but you can get nice ones for 5k more.
Sidenote: ICBC needs a better “diminished value” system in place for when cars get big repair bills (not at fault) but the vehicle isn’t written off. 911 with a 50k accident is clearly not worth the same as a clean title one

I’d be fine with the rebuilt pending on value when it happened. Some e30s, itR, Porsches, etc. we’re rebuilt over 10k hits.

Did anyone ever verify if the NSX is actually a rebuilt... or did they just mis-use the term in saying it was restored/taken apart and built from the ground up?

It was jasonturbos car for like a week I think. It’s got a rebuilt title.
Also, it’s blue star. If it had a clean title it would be listed for 600k

Before the current craziness there seemed to be some legit deals on rebuilds
Ie. 2-3 year old Civics with like 30,000 kms foe 13-14k
Now those same cars are 20+

So I emailed that protege person because I guess I’m a troll lol, I asked about the “speed boosters” and what they were, and also asked if he knew which engine codes were associated with the CEL.. this was the response

She followed up that email sending me a picture of the cluster. Every light is on, CEL, Oil, etc.
She said “once the boosters were removed I just ignore the lights”
