Another nub saying hi

Just saying hi from the island!

Been a member of BCMazda3 and MazdaspeedForums for a while. In the market for an AP1 S2000 so figured I'd sign up, say hi and keep an eye open.

Current ride is this:

Thanks guys, are there a decent number of island folks on here?

dared3vil0 01-19-2013 08:55 AM

Welcome. How do you like the V12 evo's? Considering a set.

I highly recommend them if you can get them for cheap. Great in dry, good in wet, but horrible in snow.

Remember they're Z rated though, so expect tread wear to be high. That being said, mine have lasted for over 6K now and show pretty minimal wear for their age.

I wouldn't expect a Z rated summer tire to be functional below 7c,

But i'm currently deciding between those, And BF Goodrich Comp-2's.:concentrate:

I'm not a firm believer in temps, rocked these tires all winter last year in Victoria where temps dip to -5 or so and the tires were rock solid. That is until we got a week of snow in December and the car was undrive-able :fullofwin:

The Comp 2s are newer aren't they? Can't speak much on them since I haven't seen them irl but a few of the guys off s2ki like them; supposedly strong in both wet and dry with a treadwear of 340. The evos have a treadwear of 420, but considering they're different brands, this is all moot.

Get the cheaper ones lol.
