I am kind of an OffRoad newb as well lol.. would have loved to learn from you guys.. Let me know the time and place for the next one and I will be there for sure... I still think we should meet for coffee for some discussion before actually going mudding lol.. By the way I have a RAM 1500 levelled on 35s..

We could setup a meet thread, on here or the social meet forums. It'd be better if at least one experienced off-roader come join us tho.

don't know if it has been mentioned but why not just go to stave lake. Logging roads so everyone can go, trails for the rigs to go on. Just I don't know if tide is in or out. Posted via RS Mobile |

Stave is good for a practice run (and a lot closer for me!), good place for the newbs to get their wheels wet.
Edit: few summers ago we took the full-stock Pat up the main Stave logging road with a couple other Pat drivers... got ALMOST all the way to the end, but the CVT tranny didn't want to go up the last steep little bit (the other guys had the FDII drive so they had no problem).

good thing you didnt bottom out that one time either geoc | Bottoming out was the least of my worries lol, I was more worried about that hill descent, no steering controls at all
For road tires, the 4ETS and low range did okay (throttle wayyy too twitchy tho)
I wouldn't go at night, there are a lot of deep pits (especially on inclines) that you can't really see.

Stave run sounds fine. West Harrison to hale or 20 mile bay would be fine too. Posted via RS Mobile |

Pre meet at triangle is a good idea, that way we can see what vehicles won't be leaving hale/stave in one piece Posted via RS Mobile |

I can do saturdays, but would have to be at a reasonable time as I work in coquitlam at 6pm.
Depending on what we decide to run i'll bring the dodge or the yota.
