The best advice I can give to you and for you to give to your friend is ask her to get legal and financial advice where her business is registered and set up. In this case, it would be Hong Kong.

As for her bringing money over this has nothing to do with how you operate your business (unless you are setting and registering a legal business/company in Vancouver). You probably would want to consult an immigration lawyer if she wishes to bring alot of money here.

As per my opinion,your friend will not be paying Canadian tax as she is living in HK,not in Canada..rest of all you can consult any financial advisor if you really want to help her..Cheers
