Ive bought a red ear slider turtle lately. and it has not been eating seldomly or not at all. ive tried feeding it blood worms and pellets. i take it out of the tank to feed it as i dont want the water to get dirty. should i get a feeding tray? bought it on jan 19 so it has been approx 2 weeks since i got it

From what I remember, they prefer to eat in the water so they could use the water to swallow the food. When i owned one, I had a small feeding tank where I'd put him in and a coupe feeder fish or pellets. Just took him out after like 20 mins.
Most of the time, stressed animals especially when they are in a new environment tend not to have an appetite. I'd give it some time. And yes, I agree try to put some food in the water.

Red ear slider is one of the toughest pet so dont worry too much. RES dont eat much in winter and my RES stop eating when temp drop below 5 degree or so and i havnt feed them since Nov/Dec and they are still fine.
Make sure you remove all the unwanted food if its in the tank for more than 10 minutes.
mine eat in water, and wont eat outside of water. that might be it. they like soft food i guess. never fed them anything else than pellets really. some lettuce once but they didnt eat it
