UBC VPN not working for ipad anymore? possible solutions??

Hey guys, I am in china right now so to access facebook, I would have to use VPN because China blocks facebook.

Thing is, VPN worked fine for day 1 but after that, my ipad cannot find the VPN server when I push the "on" button for VPN on the "settings" icon of the ipad.

when I try to load the UBC VPN site online, the site is also not loading while other sits work fine.

VPN is just not working for both of my ipads but is fine for my laptop (ACER)

any possible solutions to get VPN back working for my ipad?

thanks in advance !!

Buy a VPN that has openVPN or IPSec protocol for a month? Do check if they have problem with China, China had blocked access to a lot of VPNs from time to time. UBC one might have been a victim?

P.S: I just tried tracerouting to UBC's VPN IP from my VPN in China. And it's unreachable. But my home connection seems fine. So, it's probably blocked by Chinese firewall.

Chinese Firewall block particular IP. And I'm not sure how UBC VPN works in detail. But it seems to me that they have a range of IP used for VPN service, and one particular was blocked. It happens sometimes with the VPN provider I use as well.

If you can check the IP address that your VPN connection on laptop resolves to, change to that IP address on your iPad and go from there.
