4.3 is out for the AWS version, just upgraded today, don't really notice any difference.

Edit: I noticed that my notification LED does not blink anymore, does anyone else have this problem?

I lock my phone though a lock screen widget right now.

This would be the mod you're looking for.

Just switched over from the S4...Sorry I didn't make the switch sooner.

This phone is amazeballs. Far better than the S4 as the features built into the One are actually useful day to day as opposed to the gimmicks offered by Samsung.

So glad I don't have to carry around plastic anymore and the form factor is a lot like my iPhone 5, easy to hold and sleek.

Glass screen is amazing although the S4 looked more vibrant. I'll trade clarity and less eye-strain over a vibrant screen any day.

Man the speakers are loud on this thing! Music app is lightyears ahead of the Samsung one that was built into the S4.

The camera, although most reviews have said that the S4 takes the cake, I've found that the photos are crisper although a little noisy compared to the S4. For my needs, the crispness of the photos and the quick focusing is what I'd need more day to day.

Now, I'm just going to patiently wait for the 5.5 update stock before I root and go forwards with the custom roms.

Just got a black one last week as well. Got a great deal on eBay winning the bid at only $380. Phone feels so much better than S4 and is really easy to hold due to it being narrower than phones like S4/N4, and its slightly curved back. Speakers are really loud and clear; even better when rooted + custom audio mods.
Camera wise I really love the low light performance. I was taking a video in a room with just one ceiling light with both the One and the Note 3 and in the Note 3 you can barely see what's going on. But the One makes it seem like it's a very well lit room. Simply amazing. Also really love the wide angle lens. You're able to fit so much in the picture without having to step back. Although pictures are quite noisy and the options/layout are not as intuitive as Samsung's camera app. Still a very good camera.

You should definitely root it. I'm using Sense 5.5 called SD v9. It's very much stock.. with stock features and feel, but jam packed with A LOT more features. So much more you can do with a rooted phone.. just go for it!

It's funny how our taste in phones has always been the same. I remember ages ago when we used to buy/sell Nokia N series phones to each other. N73, N82, N78 to name a few. Those were devices ahead of their times, superior build quality with new, innovative features that we could actually use. The HTC One is one of those rare modern day phones that actually makes me feel as excited as I used to be during the old Nokia/Motorola era.

Anyone see the HTC One Mini coming to Rogers? Could be a good Mid-Grade phone depending on their pricing.

Switched from Apple to Android and am feeling kinda meh about it. After reading this thread, might consider trying HTC!

Does anyone know how to get the notification led to blink again? It stopped blinking after I updated to 4.3.

1. Open “Settings” app
2. Tap “Display, gestures & buttons”
3. Tap “Notification flash”

Also, individual apps will control the notification features (i.e. SMS application, Facebook etc.) Go into the settings of each app and turn on notification light.
