Place to fix a resonator?

My midpipe for my ITR is pretty old and I think something inside the resonator is broken. When I tap on the first resonator (the smaller one in the pic) I can hear something metallic rattling around inside and it also sounds super annoying when the car is idling. The second resonator (the bigger one) has no noise but I can feel something like sand? moving around inside if i tilt it.

Is it something that can be fixed by a muffler shop or should I just get it cut out and straight pipe welded in? I might just do the first one to save money.

Any suggested shops that can do it for a good price?

Thanks!

leave the broken metal piece flapping around for that raspy bmw-esque sound

all your friend will think you drive a high end exotic or have a vanos-vtec head swap (a very coveted + expensive engine mod)

or yeah, just buy a new resonator

Don't delete it.

Sounds a lot better WITH one in place, not to mention it attracts a lot less attention.

Most muffler shops can deal with this no problem. There are enough muffler shops mentioned on this site, so a quick search should turn up a few shops to call.
