The only thing was the deal is you have to order 2 other dishes which isn't bad. We had 4 adults +1 kid and we had way too much food..so I'd say it having another adult woyld have been perfect. Posted via RS Mobile |

Posted via RS Mobile | I really dislike small crabs, I think the difference between 8-10 is such a big difference, not that you get more food but the meat is by far juicier and succulent.
I always always opt for the biggest ones possible, got a 14 today and last year was able to get a blue king crab for 16lbs... fucking amazing.

Couldn't finish an entire 8 to 12 lb crab.... so...
I tried some pre-packed frozen king crab legs (from Save On).
It came out to about $18.50 per lb.
I cut the legs to open up the legs, steamed them, and served with hot butter.
It was very, very good, and surprisingly fresh.
Of course, you don't get the different types of sauces and the "fried" versions of the king crab at the restaurants.
But $18.50 per lb ($30 per bag)?
It is a good deal served hot at home.
PLUS I can finish the entire bag.

Make sure the legs are thorny or they are just spider crabs. Quote:
