I just signed up for the inaugural Pineapple Challenge 5km in Burnaby, BC, benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).
On Saturday, April 27th 2012, at Swangard Stadium, my team and I will be racing the clock to complete this fun and dirty 5km obstacle course. It’s a day of fun, food and entertainment, and I am to be a part of it.
Not only am I going to be at the debut Pineapple Challenge in BC, but I will also be helping the LLSC fund its mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
I am committed to fundraising and I hope to count on your donation to help me reach my goal.
I will definitely be having fun and getting dirty at the Pineapple Challengein BC, but I also want to save lives, because:
…There are over 100,000 people living with or in remission from a blood cancer in Canada.
…Every 29 minutes, someone new will be diagnosed with a blood cancer.
…And every 76 minutes, someone will die.
We need to make a difference and create change together!
