Mix veggie curry with beef curry?

I don't care about the beef. Potatoes+curry+oily rice=

+1 for them, surprised the one on north road closed. Used to always go there when I was living in coquitlam.

For the past 4-5 years the complex it's in has looked pretty dead. It was closed a few years back because of "a kitchen fire", but since then every time I drove by the parking around it looked empty.

I guess it was only a matter of time.

Going to ask one more time: anyone know where the best 24 hour available curry beef brisket is?

Only one I know of is No. 9 in Richmond.

Thanks.

Changed my mind. Went to Mui Garden on Victoria and it's not as good as James. Meat was grisly, sauce not as good.

Only good thing was that Mui Garden was insanely fast with my pickup order. 5 mins.

Took a bit of time to read your comment lol

Is James a new curry spot? And when you say the meat is grisly, do you mean that it wasn't cut right?

And if taking out takes that little time something's gotta be off.

For such a popular menu item, the curry beef brisket is almost always readily available. Most Asian places prefer take out customers because you're in and you're out within minutes.

+1 Mui Garden... I didn't know the one on North Road closed?? It's still listed on their website... anyway I used to go there specifically for the curry beef brisket.. SO GOOD.
Good to know they have other locations as well.

I have fond memories of Mui Garden's curry beef brisket, but I now find it undercooked. It's no longer as soft as what I remember.

It's too chewy for me and the tendons haven't had a chance to break down.

I'm going to try this James place.

Otherwise, I'm just going to have to learn to make my own curry.
