| Where to get your ps3 fixed for cheap?
My PS3 recently won't read disks. I've been to the store at parker but the owner said it'll cost 90$ to replace the bluray reader which I thought was a bit on the expensive side. Does anyone have a good shop to recommend that I can take my console to repair?
Thanks

I'd just buy another used one off Craigslist, instead of trying to get your current one fixed.

Cheapest way would be to buy the blu-ray drive on ebay or somewhere online then DIY it using some online guides and youtube videos. Shouldn't be too hard to replace yourself. Heres a quick guide |

I know it sounds dumb, but try unplugging it. Not just turning off and on but unplug it so theres on power at all for a few seconds and then plug it back in.
I had the same problem wouldn't read blu-rays so I ordered a new laser and decided to try one more time after a summer of no games, and it started working again. I got the same problem again a few days later, so I unplugged and plugged back in and it worked.
edit: The store owner is a retard, it's like 20 for the optical drive and if you can find the manufacturer in CHina on ebay it's like 12+ S&H. $90 is f*cked, he's probably going to buy a used one for 10 bucks and watch youtube videos on how to do it.
