damn id play my old highschool with friends if it were made into a map haha meet at the grade 12 lockers ... planting bomb in foyer.....damn camper in the auditorium!
a few minutes before steam launched in 2003 the launch app was leaked and i think anyone who has a 4 and maybe 5 or lower steam id had registered using the leaked version. lol, those were the nerd days
I actually did this for my highschool when I was in grade 9... though nowhere as detailed as this
nobody complained, and my teacher was somewhat amazed
I didn't really make it to play counter strike though, I just did it because I could lol
it's fucked up how people treat these smart students like terrorists. do they have any idea how hard it is to reproduce a real life location and implement it into a computer program? heck people in the comments on youtube are asking for advice, and trying to learn too. if anything poeple should realize that there's some kind of programming talent in these kids, and send them to an IT school or a computer engineering school of some sort, so they can excel even further. not expel them.
"The distinguishing thing about our school is the rainbow-coloured lockers … it makes you feel good. And to see that violence that same senseless violence in our hallway, our rainbow-coloured hallway, it was devastating."
lolwut

I personally think that schools hold a special place in society and should be treated as such. I don't like the idea that in any way we're cementing the idea of school shootings in our collective conscience.
The media doesn't do anything except make these things more popular. It's just the same thing as the Surrey t-shirts. All they did was give them free advertising.
Just hearing this makes me want to reinstall cs and play this map even though I've never been to that school.
I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".
OH FUCK YOU OH OH OOOOH~

Yeah, this has been blown out of proportion.
When I was in high school, we had to make animation videos on Macs with Adobe Flash. I made a drive-by shooting video. My teacher was very impressed. I haven't shot anyone in real life yet...
I'm sure if the technology was available at the time, I would have made a simulation of the high school...
Yes, media overreaction, what else is new. Map looks decent. I'd totally play a map of my high school. Heck, I even tried to make one, but that was in 2002 and my PC (an my mapping skills) were pretty shitty. Also, we didn't have floor plans. The building was 200 years old, though, so there were many small corridors, blocked off passages, tons of vents, it would have made a fucking awesome 16-32 person map!

I think one from my 'town' might sell better, though:
