Tomb Raider

I wanted to give you guys a short review of Tomb Raider.

Firstly, I never played any Tomb Raider game before but knew of the series. The stories backdrop is set on a mysterious island that you crash/sink into from the water. You are part of an archaeological team looking for this island might I add.

Anyway, I don't want to get too in depth about the story as that will detract from my review. I'll focus more on gameplay, graphics, sound etc.

The story is solid for this game. I was impressed by how long the gameplay lasted and the progression of the story. There are plenty of side missions to explore hidden tombs to find secret rewards.

Graphics in this game is very realistic. The island is very detailed, the walls, water, fire, animals all are very detailed and add to the allure of the game. The lighting is something to pay attention to. There are dark environments in which you can use your torch to light up.

The sound in this game is well orchestrated. At certain times in the game it just blends in perfectly. Whenever you're battling enemies or just exploring jungle, everything fits.

The game play was very fun. There is a lot of jumping, sliding, climbing and falling. Be prepared, those afraid of heights take caution!

Bottom line, if you're an avid gamer and looking for a single player game to kill some time. Check out Tomb Raider.

Not trying to be an ass...
but there IS ALREADY a Tomb Raider thread (still on the first page too),
and your review doesn't deserve it's own thread.
