"Symantec endpoint protection"

I have a ThinkPad SL410 an while browsing the internet ever once an a while i get a popup from my task bar saying,
"Symantec endpoint protection
Traffic from IP address xxx.xxx.x.xxx is blocked from 4/5/2012 4:30:37 to 4/5/2012 4:40:37
Denial of service is logged"

obviously the date an time change to what ever the current is

For about a minute after it pops up I can not access web pages. the page will load and load, then say the page is not available. I have to hit refresh 4-5 times before it will reload.
I've tried to disable endpoint protection but it still happens.
Seems to be completely random when it happens

Help stop this annoying issue!
Not sure what other info (if any) is needed so let me know.

Thanks!

uninstall symantec endpoint? Thats an enterprise antivirus product, so you should be able to go to control panel > programs and uninstall it. Or double click on the icon for it on your task bar, should be a yellow shield, and find the part about network access protection or something similar and disable that feature of it.

We used to use symantec endpoint at work but always had the network protection stuff disabled as it caused issues like this.

Thanks for the input guys, I'll give it a shot tomorrow and see how it goes.
The lap top which has the issue was one I got from my previous job so it came with everything pre installed.
