Hmm I went to look at the new pioneer app radio. The deck itself is pretty useless by itself. Only radio for 500 bucks. Also the Navi runs off your phone so kinda useless if you go anywhere distant since you will be roaming.

Well, your iphone is your music source really. If you have unlimited data then you have unlimited music with internet radio.
The real limitation is the quality of the pre-output and lack of a good eq or dsp. We sell the app radio for $399.

Can't expect it all for $4-500.

Most decent navi/bt/usb decks start arnd $700+

Flagship decks are abt $1000+

Just buy a used Pioneer Avic unit and do a software upgrade on it. Visually there is next to no change and the software upgrade makes it like new. Bought my Avic Z110BT for about $500 a year ago and it works like a champ.
