Changing your plugs wires and O2 are regular maint items and should be replaced before the point of failure to maintain proper engine function and fuel economy. They all should be replaced at approx 80000km's some cars sooner some later. Injector cleaning at regular intervals (not as regular as you lol) and regular oil/filter changes usiing synthetic will do the rest. |
So...What happens if I leave it there until July? (Mar +4 months) |
Leaving seafoam in your oil for 4+ months? You're suppose to add seafoam to your oil before an oil change and drive around for 10km max then do your oil change...the oil should be pitch black. You should change your oil asap if you left it for 4 months. |
Why don't you do an oil analysis now, then one 4 months from now for comparison? I will be nice and give you the link to Blackstonelabs too Blackstone Labs you can order the oil test kit there. Quote:

change the seafoamed oil out immediately. if it breaks down the gummed up oil it also breaks down the not so gummed up oil reducing its effectivness and ability to lubricate. Am I the formost authority on this? No. Its just a good safe assumption considering its intended function and your using it against the instructions for its intended function. |
The amount of incorrect information in this thread is absolutely mind blowing. Thank god I only log on for teh lulz and get any mechanical advice from my actual mechanic friends. Posted via RS Mobile |
