From my experience last year, the river rock nightmarket was cleaner and more organized in my opinion. They even set up 2 trailers for washrooms!!!! It was more spacious in the food area (for buying and eating) which was a nice plus. However, I did find the goods being sold kinda meh. However, could be because it was their first year there and are still signing up new vendors.

Been to both last year, kind of prefer the Bridgeport location (free).

They're about the same to me, same food, same vendors except the River Rock one is more organized as previously mentioned.

Some of the negatives to the River Rock one is that the parking is on a gravel field, and it is laid out a bit poorly. But it is free.

Some retard in an X5 last year was driving on the pedestrian walk-way, honking at people to move. There is also quite a bit of dust so if you just washed your car dont go there lol

Bridgeport location lowered their parking rate from $5 to $4...although they may silently raise it again at any time.

I haven't been to the river rock one yet, is there parking nearby? free parking? close by pay parking? and how much? I'm assuming parking at the casino is asking to get towed lol

You can be Jesus for 10 bucks at the river rock nm, win a huge asset rillakuma for your significant other, and watch a dude roast "chestnuts". By far the river rock one is DA best...also had the maximum amount of short shorts to pants ratio.

really? not me
it's not much of a market when the food is expensive (not to mention knockoffs) and 80% of all other stalls only sell iphone accessories.

I noticed a bunch of dogs but didn't notice the poop. But you're right. C-lais are fucking stupid for bringing their dogs and not picking up their shit.

In fact, they're stupid for even bringing their dog in the first place.

Having been to both this year, I reaffirm what I said before.

Riverrock location >>>>> Ikea location

Geoc 05-20-2013 03:50 PM

I heard McDonald's sponsored a LB fight event at the Ikea night market in one of the previous years. Does anyone know if they're going to do that again this year?

BaoTurbo 05-20-2013 03:54 PM

It's open tonight on stat holiday right?

inv4zn 05-20-2013 04:00 PM

It's directly on the main page - Home - The International Summer Night Market in Richmond - ?????? ??????

Yes, until 11pm.

!SG 05-20-2013 05:44 PM

went to the ikea/homedepot one late last night. got my thai ice tea and dimsum on a stick... :) happy pig.

sh0n 05-20-2013 07:35 PM

Went today - Long Weekend May 20.

Regular Vendors
- Majority selling cellphone, ipad/ipod cases go figure
- Bunch of knick knacks. Maybe it was the long weekend or I went early but some of the stalls were empty

Food Vendors
- Run of the mill as last year
- I think they jacked up the price of the Tornado Potato. Why ppl still eat that is beyond me.
- Takoyaki = priced jacked as well
- There is a stall that sells cold noodles that will remain nameless (sorry but I don't think your idea will fly).

For what it's worth not sure if night market food is worth it anymore.

Gtrr33 05-20-2013 08:55 PM

i stop going to the Richmond night market after they moved it out of landsdowne, when food was dirty cheap and the current blockbuster movies was on sale for everyone to buy lol
