| JDM 1997 Subaru Impreza WRX STI type RA
ONLY 555 IN THE WORLD i will soon be moving up north for work and unfortunately i cant bring my pride and joy with me, so it pains me to do this but i must put it up for sale. the car is almost completely stock besides a turbo timer and a power window upgrade.i have all reciepts for maitnence and i have all import papers and everything. i have kept it stock so that it will remain reliable like subaru is so well known for. this car is mechanically PERFECT and i have done all the maintenance on schedule or even slightly before. the engine had all the belts/changed at around 80K km so you wont have to worry about that for a long time yet. As with all JDM imprezas it came with the better 2.0-litre turbocharged flat-four engine. The RA engine is fully blueprinted and hand-built producing 280bhp and 250 ft/lb of torque from the factory. Because of the setup with the twins scroll and the variable valve timing they have a very linear power delivery Subaru engineers tweaked the turbo, improved the exhaust and streamlined the air intake to produce bags of low-end surge and an incredible engine note. The RA gathers pace from a lowly 2,000rpm and feels strong right to the 8,000rpm red line. The JDM cars have a stronger bottom end with a forged, nitride coated crank. This allows for better oiling and higher RPM redline, hence why they redline at 8k. They have slightly stronger con rods when compared to UK spec cars. The pistons are forged, and they are exceptionally strong. Standard JDM STI models have a better head design over UK cars. this model has the largest valved heads and most aggressive cam profiles.
