2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Stage 2, CGM

2005 Crystal Grey Metallic Sti
US import
93,XXX Miles
No accidents
Stage 2
non smoker car all its life

Maintenance:

Oil changed every 5000km, always used AMSoil 0W30 full synthetic oil, with K&N Gold oil filter (last changed ~1300km ago)

Brand new NGK spark plugs, done at the time of the last oil change ~1300km ago

Tranny fluid flushed with Subaru EXTRA-S gear oil ~3000km ago

Head gaskets replaced, with OEM Subaru multi-layer metal head gasket (the new revised version) ~10,000km ago

ARP head studs, done at the time of the headgaskets ~10,000km ago

Brand new timing belt, all new tensioner and idler pullies, plus new water pump ~10,000km ago

Newer battery, 2 years old, still has plenty of juice and turns over without effort in the winter.

car was recently detailed, washed, claybar'd, polished, waxed, interior vacuumed, floor mats pressure washed, sparkling clean inside and out.

Mods:

-Blitz Nur Spec R catback (can swap in a quieter 3" catback if you dont like being obnoxiously loud like with the Nur Spec )
-Exoticspeed catless 3" downpipe
-Exedy Stage 1 HD clutch
-AEM cold air intake (mounts behind foglight cover for actual intake of cold air)
-Cobb accessport, running stage 2, 94 octane map
-ARP headstuds
-H&R Sport lowering springs
-Advan RCII 17x8.5 +32 wheels in gold, with 225/45/17 Falken RT615 tires
-17x8" steelies with snowtires, clears brembos
-JDM Version 8 seat, with USDM seat base swapped in so it retains the height adjustment feature (if you haven't sat in a JDM sti seat before, they are 9999999999999999999999x better than a USDM sti seat, unless you're 300lbs.)
-Pioneer deck with front USB
-Forester din pocket thingy with the flappy door, custom fit to the sti dash.
-OEM lamco boost gauge, with OEM steering column mount
-Rear struts modded with grease fitting so you can grease them when they make the notorious "sti strut clunk"
-pre-wired for subs, I hate subs, so I took it out the day I got it, but the wiring is still there, so if you want to put a sub in, half the work is already done for you

Cons:

-hood was painted a matte dark bronze/gunmetal color, I kinda like the way it looks, but some people don't, so I guess it's good or bad.

-small rock chips on hood and front bumper

-will need brakes soon (fronts @ 20%)

-front struts are starting to clunk when driving on super rough/bump ground (suspension is still nice and firm though, not blown, just noisy on bumps)

-tires need to be re-balanced

-should probably do an alignment too.

Overall the body is in pretty damn good condition, the paint on it is very nice and shiney, except for the front bumper (previous owner did alot of highway driving)

Car pulls very hard, 10000x more fun than a stock GD Sti, the car has never been raced, but I'm not gonna be a jackass and tell you that I drive it like a grandma, 30k below the speed limit, and never going past 3000rpm with it. The car is an STi, so it gets some short bursts of spirited driving now and then, but I don't abuse the car (no launches, bouncing off rev-limiter, revving in neutral like a ricer, etc.), I regularly do maintenance on it.

oh and, the JDM seat makes it so much nicer to drive in, due to the tighter fit and taller, more supportive bolsters, you don't flop all over the place like you do with the USDM seat.
