Detailed: 2008 Honda S2000

Hi guys, this section has been missing detailing projects people have done. Ken where are you man!?? It's spring so I'm sure people are getting their cars detailed. I'll share a couple of recent details I have done to get it started. Comments, criticisms and questions are welcome!

Got around to uploading some of the photos from the detail of my S2000. I could tell the paint was heavily swirled under fluorescent lighting. Otherwise, being a white car it's difficult to see the differences. Major products used were Meguiar's 105/205 and a Flex 3401 VRG orbital polisher with Lake Country 5" Hybrid Cyan, Tangerine & Red Pads. Most of these shots are of 105/205 and no sealant or wax. Used Opti Seal for sealant and then topped with Optimum Car Wax. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to help.

After claybar - how a lot of the car looked:

50/50 of same panel

50/50 of same panel against door

Up close

Passenger side door before

After

Dealer sticker...

Since they are my employer and I decided to keep part of it to pay homage

But yikes the trunk was hammered

Another angle

All cleaned up

3rd brake light too

Took a shot at the tail lights too

After

I didn't take any real completed shots as I was in a hurry at the end of the day. This is all I have for now

Also spent some time tonight cleaning the leather on my S2000.

Products used were 1Z einszett Plastic Deep Cleaner and an Uber Ultra Interior Brush on my Porter Cable 7424. Wiped up with a clean terry cloth:

Some rather shocking 50/50's - this is just from cleaning - no leather conditioner applied yet:

Side bolster

Seatback

Seat Bottom

Bottom bolster

Steering wheel

Unfortunately I did this in the dark and had to rely on my halogen and LED light. I will take some betters shots when I can pull it out into the daylight. Needless to say, I'm extremely pleased with how well the seats cleaned up.

Saw your car and the black R32 you also detailed last night at Seasons. Both looked real nice!
