Bridge crossing over the Skagit River on the I5 has collapsed

thats one of my worse fears, driving over a bridge and it collapses, and then being trapped inside the car, I hope everyone is ok!

Damn I remember the Minneapolis bridge collapse a while back. Hope there's no loss of life or major injury here, it's been a really rough week in America.

the infrastructure in the states has been going to hell the news was just touching upon this again when covering this story saying that there just isn't the money to do all the repairs

This isn't too surprising, about 70,000 or 11.5% of bridges in the US have been deemed structurally deficient by engineers with the FHWA.

News outlets are revealing that a truck with a wide load might have hit a girder and collapsed the bridge.
