thats one of my worse fears, driving over a bridge and it collapses, and then being trapped inside the car, I hope everyone is ok!

Damn I remember the Minneapolis bridge collapse a while back. Hope there's no loss of life or major injury here, it's been a really rough week in America.

That's the Fremont Bridge in Seattle. This is about 100 miles to the north.

I'm fun at parties.

Yes I am well aware of that... which is directly related to what I posted.

This isn't too surprising, about 70,000 or 11.5% of bridges in the US have been deemed structurally deficient by engineers with the FHWA.

There's a dude sitting on the roof of that orange/red car.

He's probably going "FML............"

CorneringArtist 05-23-2013 08:33 PM

News outlets are revealing that a truck with a wide load might have hit a girder and collapsed the bridge.

Gridlock 05-23-2013 08:34 PM

The state of Washington does NOT know how to build bridges.

Bridge phobia for all those involved. Imagine Oak Bridge, Granville Bridge, Lions Gate collapse. Those are deep.

Kidnapman 05-23-2013 08:40 PM

fuck, well guess I'm driving with my driver window down or moon roof open if I ever go on a bridge again.

PiuYi 05-23-2013 08:42 PM

this isn't too bad....

remember when the LIONS GATE BRIDGE collapsed?

BBMme 05-23-2013 08:56 PM

how bad is it?
I'm planning to do a weekend trip this coming sat. I've read on the newspaper the traffic's intense; backed up to the Canadian border.
Should I still go?
Thanks
